Cole Sprouse will be playing Will Newman in the movie “Five feet apart” directed by Justin Baldoni that premieres on March 22 2019.
The upcoming movie follows Stella Grant (Richardson) a seventeen year-old teenager and life hasn’t been easy to her. She´s not like any average teenager, she spends most of her time in the hospital and she has to be constantly under special treatments. Stella Grant has Cystic Fibrosis (CF) which is a genetic disorder that particularly affects the lungs and digestive system, it can cause infections and the person that has it must go under constant treatment.
One day while Stella is at the hospital, she meets Will Newman (Sprouse) that´s also a CF patient.
Here, we can see Cole and his co-star Haley Lu Richardson maintaining “five feet apart” from each other.
Little by Little ,they´ll start falling for each other but they have to be a safe distance apart from each other to avoid cross-infection. However, as Hollywood taught us, nothing can stop two young people in love. So, they´ll find themselves risking the line to be with each other.
“There are some roles that carry a real responsibility for accurate representation, this was one of them,” Cole said during an interview to Teen Vogue. They also interviewed Justin Baldoni who said that we would see Cole like we´ve never seen him before.
