As many of you must know, I´m an active reader and I love expanding my knowledge of books to others. So, I will write about the books I read last month and maybe, you find something interesting to read on my list. Last month, I read 10 books, the authors that feature in my list are, Rick Riordan, Cassandra Clare and John Green.
“The Kane Chronicles Trilogy” by Rick Riordan
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Two years ago, I read the Percy Jackson Series and the Heroes of Olympus series and I fell in love. I fell in love with Uncle Rick´s hilarious form of writing, with his characters and Greek Mythology. I also read The Trials of Apollo but never nothing that wasn´t of the original series. Until, on December of last year when I decided to read the Magnus Chase trilogy and I loved it. So, this year I decided to give a try to the Kane family and I was amused. I really liked the character´s and their personalities. What I also enjoyed about the book is that is something different that what we were used to because they are not longer demigods, they are something else.
“Looking For Alaska” by John Green
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
This was the first book that I read by John Green and it was a great way to star reading this amazing author. His writing style is unique and he chooses every word carefully and wistfully. He understands the weight that words have, the influence that they have on people. He also reflects things in the book that everyone can identify with. And the end wrecked me! I really liked the characters, I felt that everything that Alaska had to say was important and it helped me reflect a lot. I totally recommend it.
“Paper Towns” by John Green
♥ ♥
This is the second book that I read by John Green this month and I wasn´t exactly pleased. I really liked the writing style and the things that are said in the book. But, I had a main issue with the characters, I couldn´t stand them! their decisions were stupid and reckless also they were very selfish. Though, the reflect about the “paper towns” was so pure. Personally, I didn´t like it much but, I know people who did so, give it a try!
“The Infernal Devices” by Cassandra Clare
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
This trilogy, was the only part of the Shadowhunter Chronicles that I haven´t read I don´t know why really. I guess that it never really draw my attention much and I wasn´t eager to meet new characters, I was so in love with the Mortal Instruments gang (I´m still are) that I thought there wasn´t space for anyone else, but I as wrong, I love each one of this new characters and their relationships are so pure, I also loved the phrases.
“The Bane Chronicles” by Cassandra Clare
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I really enjoyed this book, specially the first date with Alec and his birthday. This book only increased my love for Magnus and I liked a lot reading some adventures of his life.
“Ghosts of the Shadowmarket” by Cassandra Clare
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
After reading The Infernal Devices,I could finally read GOTSM and I love it! It was really sad because of Jem looking for Will´s descendant brought a lot of memories but, we had a lot of good moments too like The Land I Lost that story filled me with joy. I can´t wait for the last two stories!
What about you! What did you read last month? I hope that you find this list useful!
